Tractor & Agricultural Equipment Repair
Mondak provides mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repair for tractors and agricultural equipment, with field and shop service depending on what the job requires.
You Know When Your Tractor Isn't Working Like It Should
Maybe it pulls fine until it gets hot.
Maybe the hydraulics are getting slower.
Maybe the transmission acts differently under load, the A/C quit in the middle of summer or an electrical problem comes and goes just often enough to make it difficult to find.
You already know what the machine is doing.
Our job is to figure out why.
Tractor & Farm Equipment Repair
We work across the machine, including:
- Diesel engines
- Transmissions and drivetrains
- Hydraulic pumps and motors
- Hydraulic valves and controls
- Hydraulic cylinders
- Hoses, fittings and hard lines
- Steering and brake systems
- Cooling systems
- Fuel systems
- Starting and charging
- Wiring and electrical systems
- Sensors and electronic controls
- A/C and heating
- Diesel emissions and aftertreatment
- Pins, bushings and mechanical wear
Hydraulics Have Changed Along With the Tractor
Modern tractors may use load-sensing hydraulics, proportional valves, electronic controls and multiple systems communicating with each other.
Older tractors may be almost entirely mechanical.
We work on both.
A tractor that is slow or weak may have a worn pump, but it can also have internal leakage, a valve problem, incorrect control signal, suction issue, excessive case drain or another problem affecting the system.
Electrical & Electronic Problems
Sometimes the hydraulic or mechanical component being blamed is doing exactly what the controller is telling it to do.
We can troubleshoot problems involving:
- Sensors
- Solenoids
- Wiring and connectors
- Switches
- Joysticks and controls
- Power and ground circuits
- Controller inputs and outputs
- Communication faults
- Safety and operating interlocks
A fault code can point us in the right direction. It is not always the final answer.
A/C & Cab Comfort
A tractor can still run with a failed A/C system.
That does not make spending a long summer day in the cab a good option.
Mondak can troubleshoot agricultural A/C and heating problems including:
- Poor cooling
- Compressor problems
- Refrigerant leaks
- Electrical faults
- Blower and fan problems
- Heater problems
- Controls and switches
Older Tractors Don't Scare Us
A good tractor does not become useless because a part number was discontinued.
When older components are difficult to source, we can look at the whole problem.
That may mean:
- Repairing the original component
- Cross-referencing a replacement
- Rebuilding a hydraulic component
- Adapting a fitting or connection
- Machining a part
- Repairing worn pins or bores
- Fabricating a mounting solution
The first question is not always "Can we buy the part?" Sometimes it is "What is the best way to keep this machine working?"
Field Service When Hauling It In Doesn't Make Sense
Not every tractor problem needs to start with loading the machine onto a trailer.
Mondak provides mobile equipment diagnostics and repair, backed by shop capabilities when a component or larger repair needs to come inside.
Tell Us What the Tractor Is Doing
You do not need to know whether the problem is hydraulic, electrical, mechanical or electronic before calling.
Give us the manufacturer, model and symptoms. We'll start there.
