Oil and Gas Equipment Service

24/7 service for active well sites

Oil and gas operations do not run 8 to 5. Mondak provides 24/7 service and support for the equipment that powers, moves and supports active well sites.

Built for Active Well Sites

Downtime on location costs money

A hydraulic failure, an engine problem or one blown hose can put the whole operation on hold.

We run mobile field service and shop repair for oil and gas equipment throughout the region. Our technicians have worked these locations and know equipment needs to be running, not sitting. Our technicians work on HPUs, top drives, power swivels, hydraulic catwalks, pumps, engines, generators and support equipment.

Equipment and Systems We Service

The equipment that keeps the well site moving

Mondak works on the equipment and systems that power, move and support active oil and gas operations.

Hydraulic Equipment
Hydraulic power units (HPUs), pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, hoses, manifolds, controls, lines and fittings, and complete hydraulic power systems.
Drilling and Well Service
Top drives, power swivels, hydraulic catwalks, iron roughnecks, workover rigs, snubbing equipment, drilling support equipment and pumping equipment.
Engines and Power Generation
Diesel engines, generators, power units, engine-driven pumps and auxiliary and support power systems.
Well Site Support Equipment
Loaders, forklifts, compressors, pumps, light towers, generators, trailers and other material handling and well site support equipment.
Iron Roughneck Service and Repair

Iron roughnecks and the drilling floor

We service and repair iron roughnecks along with the hydraulic and mechanical systems that run them, and we work on the top drives, power swivels and hydraulic catwalks around them. Our technicians work with oil and gas equipment from VentureTech, NOV, Detroit and MTU, along with major workover rig and well service equipment manufacturers. We work on the hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and power systems that keep oil and gas equipment operating in the field.

When Parts Are Not Available

We find another way

Oil and gas does not always give you the luxury of waiting for a part to arrive. When it is appropriate and safe, we look for a practical temporary fix that keeps equipment operating until permanent parts arrive.

That might mean sourcing a component locally, cross-referencing a replacement, adapting a component that is already there, or fabricating one. When necessary, we have gone as far as machining our own parts to get equipment running again. We have a strong network of suppliers, machine shops, hydraulic specialists and manufacturers throughout the region. If we do not have the answer, we will find someone who does.

How We Support the Location

Field service, maintenance and diagnostics

24/7 Field Service

Equipment failures do not follow a schedule. Our field service team is available around the clock to respond to breakdowns, troubleshoot the problem, identify the cause and find the fastest practical path back to service.

Preventive Maintenance

Scheduled service finds problems before they put a machine down. We provide scheduled inspections, hydraulic system checks, fluid and filter service, hose inspections, component inspections and digital documentation built around your equipment.

Advanced Diagnostics

Modern oil and gas equipment depends on electronic controls and complex hydraulic systems. We use diagnostic technology to find electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical problems instead of guessing and replacing parts.

Safety and Site Compliance

Prepared to work on active locations

Active oil and gas locations have technical, safety and site requirements. Our technicians are prepared to work safely and meet the requirements of the locations we serve.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers for this service

Why is oil & gas equipment one of Mondak's specialties?

Oilfield equipment operates in demanding environments where downtime can stop an operation. Mondak's combination of mobile service, hydraulic repair, diesel diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting and emergency support is suited to that environment.

What oilfield systems can Mondak troubleshoot?

We work with systems including HPUs, top drives, power swivels, hydraulic catwalks, pumps, engines, generators and other hydraulic, diesel and mechanical equipment.

What makes an HPU difficult to diagnose?

An HPU combines an engine or motor, pump, valves, controls, hydraulic circuits, cooling and sometimes sophisticated electronic controls.

A loss of hydraulic performance may originate in several different systems, which is why pressure and flow testing are important.

What if an iron roughneck stops working?

The problem may be hydraulic pressure, control valves, electrical signals, sensors, mechanical damage or another system failure.

Mondak approaches the problem by testing the systems involved rather than automatically replacing the hydraulic components.

Why is mobile service especially important in oil & gas?

Moving large oilfield equipment can be extremely disruptive. Getting a technician to the equipment can often be much faster than arranging transportation for the equipment to come to a shop.
